Shanaze Reade

  • Country: UK
  • Event: BMX Racing

Shanaze is undoubtedly one of Great Britain’s rising stars in any sport. She dominates BMX racing, winning this year’s Elite Women’s world title in July and three World titles as a junior. She transferred her phenomenal cycling talent to the track at the World Championships in Majorca in early 2007 and destroyed the field in a World record (three times) in the Team Sprint event with her partner Victoria Pendleton. Shanaze will head to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games as a clear favourite for the BMX event which makes its Olympic debut. Even though she always rides solo, it's always been a team event. The unbeatable combination of Shanaze and her mum.
